When Jessica first reached out to me for Event Management services three months before the wedding, we had a lot of work to do. The ceremony venue, The Lyceum, and the reception venue, Union Street Public House, were set, but most other vendors were unaccounted for. Never one to say no to a bride with a mission, I was all-in.
With some help from our preferred vendor list, Jessica jumped into action and checked off every box on her to-do list, throwing in some extra DIY projects just for added stress. She locked in her photo and video team, florist, beauty, and childcare providers, and tapped in to close friends for her DJ and officiant roles.
Despite what appeared from the outside to be a tremendous time pressure, Jessica’s spirit never wavered. We did not have a single phone call (and we had many phone calls) where we were not laughing by the end. Her combination of go-with-the-flow and type-A “isms” were infectious, and we had a wonderful time locking in all her final details in the few months we worked together.
On wedding day, Jessica and Chris enjoyed lovely calm mornings in their respective getting ready homes, and then met for a first look and some immediate family photos at Jessica’s beautiful Airbnb.
Their ceremony and chosen color scheme reflected their bright personalities, and were true testaments to their commitment to fun and not taking themselves too seriously.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious cookie table at the Lyceum, and then made their way over to cocktail hour at Union Street Public House. The evening followed with great food, heartfelt and teary speeches, and a great dance party.
They ended their day with a glow stick send-off, some cookie favors, a trip to Taco Bell Cantina, because that’s what living is all about.
I design elevated, ultra-personal celebrations for couples who want every detail to be perfect—without ever having to micromanage a thing.
I firmly believe that knowledge is power. Answer a few questions about the wedding you want, and I’ll explain what you’ll realistically need to budget per guest (and break down where that money’s likely to go).
